But for many communities at home in Maryland and across the country, this Thanksgiving holiday carries with it a stark reminder that the world has undergone a dramatic change. The upcoming holiday season will be unlike any that we have experienced in generations. Thanksgiving is a time for us to express gratitude for all that we have been given. It’s a time for us to share our gifts with those around us who are less fortunate. It’s a time to act compassionately. And it’s a time to reach out with a helping hand and serve a cause greater than ourselves.
