Help Us Feed Our Neighbors

With the growing number of cases of COVID-19 identified in Montgomery County and the Washington D.C. region, we continue to plan for the unknown. We are taking every precaution we can to ensure all staff, volunteers, and clients are in a safe environment, while we strive ahead to help children and families in need who are suffering from hunger. Our priority is ensuring the continuity of operations for our mission to end food waste and hunger.

During these trying times, you may wonder how some of the children who rely on the county free and reduced meals program will be able to eat. These families, unfortunately, do not have the luxury to clear the shelves at grocery stores as many local families do. Over 20 million students across the US rely on the free and reduced meal program for breakfast and lunch each school day. Nourish Now is proactively fighting for every student and all local residents that will have to wonder where their next meal will be coming from. We have increased our outreach to collect additional resources as this pandemic has caused a major increase in food needs.
